Friendly wait staff, decent food, no good offering on Ciders.
Good things first. The food was good the clams are huge. Get your food outside the service is horrible.. 35 minutes to take our order. 10 minutes to pay at the end of the meal. The food wasn't what we ordered. There might have been 1 clam per dollar of the plate.

Cute and quaint. Awesome fish and chips and happy hour specials.
I miss this place. The smoked salmon chowder is a go-to. Fish and chips is damn fine. Never a bad meal or drink in this place.
Hope their other food is good. I grabbed a burger for lunch here today and it was terrible. Frozen patty, no seasoning, fake cheese, bacon and onions barely cooked. Fries plain....Paid just under 20 bucks for this?!?!?!Total RIP off.....
Old school Seattle restaurant that has great food!
Friendly wait staff, decent food, no good offering on Ciders.
This is my favorite diner in Seattle. Great food, great service, salty decor, friendly staff.
This was the best fish and chips I think I've ever had. And the calamari was amazing as well. Can't believe I've driven past this place so many times and never stopped. Already can't wait to go back!

We stumbled on this place by accident and are we ever glad. The fish and chips was excellent! We took advantage of the outdoor seating, so we didn't get the "whole" experience, but we really enjoyed it!
Strong drinks and great fish and chips!
A real dive. But the right kind of dive. Best fish & Chips to be found.
Good food and service. Good beer selection.
Food was great. I've lived here 30 years and never stopped. Service was excellent and atmosphere is what you want in a historic place.
Always love the lockspot. Rustic interior and wonderful service. Don't change anything!
This is both a full-fledged restaurant and a small Cafe at the front that you can order from like a food truck. It's located conveniently right in front of the Botanical Garden. It's cash only but there's an ATM inside. Good and fast place to get some coffee before your walk.
Great fish and chips! Nice help. Quiet enough to visit with one another.
The bar and restaurant was like stepping back in time like the 1960s. It has a wonderful atmosphere friendly service and the calamari is some of the best I've had. When I get back to Seattle I plan on stopping by the lockspot cafe again. Very satisfied.
Had Salmon and Chips. Chips were good, pretty fresh. However one piece of my salmon was not fully fried, still cold and raw inside. I asked and they cooked a entirely new serving for me!

Pedaled past this place last week and they had the window open, the server didn't wear a mask. Granted neither did the 3 people that were picking up the food. If you are over 60 be careful when picking up food served by people not bothering to protect their customers, because they are probably not protecting their employees.
Down to earth, friendly, unassuming, with classic food and drinks. Great service every time. A Ballard staple. As per usual when I go out, got steamer clams, which were buttery and delicious. A pit of chili flakes added a nice bite to them. Don't miss the salmon chowder.
We got the salmon pesto sandwich and tuna steak. Both were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. Delicious! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive and thoughtful, and their beer list looks pretty great, though I didn't get a chance to try any of them myself. I definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area (especially if you're coming from the climbing gym right next door).

The food was good, but it was a bar atmosphere for breakfast. I'm not into KZOk music for breakfast.
So very glad something from the past is still chugging along. I used to visit the locks frequently for a stroll and a bite, but after a grave disappointment with Red Mill gentrif*@king the Totem, it's been a while coming back this way. Glad I did. Lockspot still has the same homey comfortable vibe, same truly decent food, and great varied taplist. Please stay this way forever.

So great to once again eat in the dining room of our favorite old Ballard restaurant!
The clam dip & home made potato chips are awesome ...don't bother with the teriyaki salmon. This is like hospital food ... Obviously previously frozen Costco frozen sockeye filets from the 3lb bag ... Lundberg boxed rice pilaf and very sorry undercooked frozen vegetables mix also from the Costco freezer section ... So 5pts for the dip <1pt for the entree = 3pts.
Friendly w/a great location.
Great food and awesome service.
Such a great menu and the bread pudding is delicious!
It’s been my family’s go to fish and chips spot in Seattle after fun on the water. Arguably the best fish and chips in Seattle.

So old and always good food and drinks.

Great food cozy atmosphere
Good food cold beer on tap and a beautiful place to walk
Order smart and the food is great, but stray from the core offerings and your mileage may vary...
This cafe seemed cozy and it seemed like the locals enjoyed it. But if you're not friends with the bartender, good luck getting service. The bartender spent her entire time talking to her friends and i kept having to interrupt their conversation to ask for say, a food menu, the drink menu, and then the check. The food seemed really expensive for the quality they were serving. I ended up ordering a clam chowder and left the all of the clams in the bowl as they seemed like it was either from a can or severely overcooked.

We went to the Locks. We saw this restaurant right next to them. It turned out to be wonderful. The food was great and the service was great too.

Restaurants just opened on Friday. We stopped in on Monday after a long walk. Staff is very friendly and cheerful. The beers were good, the calamari, not so much. It was strips, I prefer rings and tentacles. The batter was not crispy. Maybe the oil wasn't hot enough due to few customers. The part that really bothered me was it was $12.99 for about eight 6" strips. But again, the owner and server are very nice and hard working. I do hope they survive this troubled time.
The foods good but over priced.
I was there yesterday about 1:30 and service was so good a second waitress tried to give us menus when we had already ordered! Very friendly staff.Their breaded cod is excellent. Cooked to perfection with a thin crispy seasoned crust so you get the taste and texture of fish, not batter. The fries were too dry (instead of the usual greasy!) but their tarter sauce is delicious so the fries got dipped; the fish didn't need to be. Friendly place right on the edge of the parking lot for the Chittenden Locks.
